Gorgonzola pear toast

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of bread (light brown bread)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 slice(s) ham, cooked
  • 8 pears, halved, from the can
  • 4 tbsp sauce (Cumberland sauce)
  • 125 g cheese (Gorgonzola cheese)
  • 12 walnuts, kernels

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Preheat oven to 225 degrees Celsius (425 degrees Fahrenheit), toast one side of the bread slices, spread butter on the toasted side, top with ham, place two pear halves on each slice, and cover each slice with 1 tablespoon of Cumberland sauce. Slice the Gorgonzola and arrange them in a flake-like pattern on the toast. Place three walnut halves on each slice and bake in the oven on the top rack for 7-8 minutes.
