baked schnitzel
Pound the schnitzels (if desired), season with salt and pepper on both sides. Then coat both sides in flour, then coat them in the beaten egg. Coat both sides in breadcrumbs and fry in a little fat in a heated pan. I never cook the schnitzels all the way through, as they go back in the oven for another 15-20 minutes. Place the finished schnitzels on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Do not rinse the pasta or pour oil over it so it sticks well. Place small piles of pasta on the schnitzels, spread the sauce over them, and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake at 180°C for about 15-20 minutes. Of course, you can choose whatever pasta and sauce you like, but spaghetti holds up best. The amount of sauce and cheese is up to each individual; some people prefer more than others.
