Grandma's Apple Pie

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 60 g potato flour
  • 125 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 3 apples (thick Boskoop)
  • Sugar (granulated sugar)
  • Nuts, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy; beat in eggs. Combine flour with baking powder and vanilla sugar and stir into the batter. Pour the batter into a greased springform pan. Cut the apples into thin slices and arrange them tightly on top of the batter, like bricks. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and nuts and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 45 minutes.
