Ingredients
- 500 g Flour
- 250 ml Milk lukewarm
- 50 g Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 21 g Yeast fresh
- 75 g Butter
- 1 piece Egg
- 6 piece Medium organic apple
- 200 g Ground hazelnuts
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 200 g Butter
- 500 g Flour
- 200 g Sugar
- 1 Tl Cinnamon
Instructions
- yeast dough. Sieve the flour with a pinch of salt into a bowl. Warm the milk and sugar slightly and dissolve the butter in them. Add the yeast and stir until the yeast has dissolved.
- Now add the milk-yeast mixture and the egg to the flour. Knead all ingredients into a smooth dough. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for at least 1 hour.
- Streusel: Knead all the ingredients to make a crumble. Note: Grandma's crumbles were much more voluminous.
- Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into small cubes. Put the cubes in lemon water so that they don't turn brown while you wait.
- Line a baking tray with baking paper or grease it. Knead the yeast dough well again and roll it out on the baking sheet.
- Mix the ground hazelnuts with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and stir with the apples. Pour the apple mixture onto the dough and spread the crumble over it.
- Bake the cake in the preheated oven (top / bottom heat) at 200 degrees on the 2nd rack from the bottom for about 35 - 45 minutes.
