  • 200 g Butter
  • 500 g Flour
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 1 Tl Cinnamon
  1. yeast dough. Sieve the flour with a pinch of salt into a bowl. Warm the milk and sugar slightly and dissolve the butter in them. Add the yeast and stir until the yeast has dissolved.
  2. Now add the milk-yeast mixture and the egg to the flour. Knead all ingredients into a smooth dough. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for at least 1 hour.
  3. Streusel: Knead all the ingredients to make a crumble. Note: Grandma’s crumbles were much more voluminous.

  5. Line a baking tray with baking paper or grease it. Knead the yeast dough well again and roll it out on the baking sheet.
  6. Mix the ground hazelnuts with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and stir with the apples. Pour the apple mixture onto the dough and spread the crumble over it.
  7. Bake the cake in the preheated oven (top / bottom heat) at 200 degrees on the 2nd rack from the bottom for about 35 – 45 minutes.
