Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 onions
  • 20 g liquorice, real
  • 1 stalk(s) licorice root
  • 5 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 10 minutes

Quarter the onions and place them in a jar (an empty jam jar) with a lid. Add licorice (real from the pharmacy), licorice, and sugar. Close the lid and shake well. Let it steep for 12 hours; the onion will release a lot of liquid. Give 1-2 teaspoons morning, noon, and evening. Important: Always have a cough checked by a doctor beforehand. It should only be given as a supportive measure.
