Spread the love

  • 1 liter of milk

  • 1 pinch of vanilla, ground.
  • ¼ liter of water
  • 60 g butter
  • Sugar
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

simple, unspectacular – but so good!

Bring the milk to a boil in a saucepan. If you like, you can also add a little sugar to the milk. In the meantime, combine the flour with salt, vanilla, and water and stir until dumplings form. Using a teaspoon, drop the dumplings into the boiling milk and simmer until they have set slightly. Then heat the butter in a pan until golden brown. It can be a nice brown color for the flavor. Now arrange the dumplings on a plate, top with the browned butter, and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon to taste. My grandma served them with her homemade cinnamon plum compote!
