Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
with ham, delicious and light
Snap off the ends of the green asparagus. Wash the asparagus and strawberries separately. Peel and quarter the strawberries, then cut the asparagus into bite-sized pieces. Fry the asparagus in clarified butter with a little sugar until al dente, then season with salt, pepper, and herbs just before the end. Separately, toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan, remove from the pan, and then brown in the butter. In a bowl, combine the asparagus and strawberries, drizzle with nut butter, and add the sesame seeds. Mix again and let stand for 10 minutes. Divide among plates and arrange decoratively with ham (I roll it into packets or rolls), lemon wedges, a few dashes of balsamic vinegar, and shaved Parmesan cheese. Serve with fresh baguette or whole-grain bread. As a starter, this recipe serves about 4 people.
