Green iced tea

Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 2 tea bags, green, or equivalent amount of loose tea
  • 7 cm ginger, fresh, approx.
  • 1 large lemon(s) or lime, the juice
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 liter of water
  • some mint leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 10 minutes

First, bring the water to a boil. Meanwhile, peel the ginger and slice it into thin slices. Place the ginger and tea bags in a heatproof bowl and pour boiling water over them. Then stir in the honey. Remove the tea bags after 2-5 minutes, depending on the desired strength of the final product. Allow the ginger-tea mixture to cool and store in the refrigerator. Then add the juice of one lemon. Serve the iced tea beautifully in a glass carafe with 2-3 fresh mint leaves. The vitamin C in the lemon juice is preserved by adding it to the already chilled drink.
