Green smoothie with ginger and parsley

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ cucumber(s)
  • ¼ iceberg lettuce
  • 10 g ginger
  • 1 handful of flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 large apple
  • 1 lemon(s) or lime
  • 1 handful of ice cubes

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Very healthy, fresh, and light. And full of ginger!

Wash the ingredients thoroughly. Peel the cucumber if it’s not organic. Peel the ginger as well. Gather a food processor or, alternatively, an immersion blender with a suitable container. Cut the ingredients into large pieces and slice the ginger along the grain; this works better. You can also use the parsley stems; they’re not wasteful! Roughly chop the stems; the leaves can simply be added to the blender. Put everything in the blender and squeeze in the lime or half a lemon. The smoothie will be rather sour; if you want it sweeter, use less juice. Blend thoroughly.
