Grilled cauliflower

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 cauliflower
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 pinch(s) allspice
  • 1 lemon(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Divide the cauliflower into not-too-small florets and wash them. If you prefer the cauliflower to be softer, you can blanch it briefly now. Dry the cauliflower florets in a salad spinner and spin them. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg and/or allspice, if desired. Drizzle with oil and mix. Grill the cauliflower florets either in the oven under the broiler or on a cast iron plate on a gas grill (200°C), turning frequently. The roasted aroma is important. For this to happen, the cauliflower must have browned spots all over. Drizzle the cooked cauliflower with lemon juice and serve. Tip: You can also deep-fry the unseasoned cauliflower until brown and then season it.
