Grilled cheese sausages

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 sausages (meat sausages)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp, crushed paprika powder, sweet
  • 150 g cheese (Gouda), in one piece
  • 2 tbsp mustard, mild
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 2 slices of breakfast bacon

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Split 4 equal-sized sausages lengthwise and brush thinly with a mixture of 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 level teaspoon of paprika. Cut 150g of Gouda cheese into four long, even strips and insert these into the sausage slits. Mix 2 tablespoons of mild mustard and 2 tablespoons of tomato ketchup, spread the mixture over the sausages, and wrap each with two slices of bacon, securing with wooden skewers if desired. Preheat the grill. Place the cheese sausages on the grill rack and cook on all sides for 8 minutes. You can also fry them in a pan with a little oil.
