Grilled halloumi with mango and bacon

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 pack of cheese (halloumi)
  • ½ mango(s), ripe
  • 6 slices of bacon

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Pimped Halloumi – also to be enjoyed from the pan

Cut the halloumi into 6 slices. Peel 1/2 a mango and also cut it into 6 pieces. Place a piece of mango on each piece of halloumi and wrap it with a slice of bacon, ensuring the bacon end is on the underside of the halloumi. Place the “parcels” on the grill bottom side first and grill, then briefly grill the mango side until the bacon is just cooked (otherwise the mango will be too soft). If you don’t have a fully ripe mango, you can also brush the slightly underripe mango with a little honey – the grilling time will, of course, increase on the mango side. It’s also delicious from a pan!
