Grilled meatballs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 80 g sheep’s cheese (medium to creamy)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 pinch(s) cumin, ground
  • 2 tbsp harissa
  • 1 bread roll, stale, soaked, squeezed
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ tbsp mint, finely chopped
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Fry the onion in a little hot olive oil until translucent and briefly add the parsley. Knead the bread roll with all the other ingredients except the cheese. Form the meatballs from the meat mixture and flatten them. Place a piece of feta cheese in each one and then completely cover with the meat mixture. Brush a grill rack with olive oil and grill the meatballs on both sides for about 10 minutes, not too close to the glowing coals. Serve with a mixed salad, garlic yogurt spread, and flatbread.
