Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 kg gyros meat
  • 850 g corn
  • 1 bottle of chili sauce
  • 4 cups of cream or sour cream
  • 2 bell peppers, red
  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 bottle of Hungarian-style paprika sauce
  • ¼ liter white wine
  • ½ liter vegetable broth

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Brown the meat and let it cool, then pour the cream or sour cream over it and let it sit in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Dice 4-6 medium onions, dust them with a little flour (depending on taste), and sauté them. Deglaze with white wine and bring to a boil with the vegetable stock. Then add the gyro meat, corn, paprika, chili sauce, and paprika sauce and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 20-30 minutes. Serve with flatbread!
