Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 500 g potatoes
- 500 g gyros meat
- 1 cup of cream
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ bell pepper(s), red
- 200 g feta cheese
- 100g Gouda
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder, sweet
- possibly gyros seasoning
- olive oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Preheat oven to 220 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat). Wash and quarter the potatoes. Arrange them on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Place the gyro meat (I used pork minute steaks and seasoned them myself with gyro seasoning) in the spaces between them. If you like, you can also add onion rings. Precook in the oven for 20 minutes. In the meantime, slice the bell peppers. Mix the sour cream with the cream, salt, pepper, and the remaining spices. After 20 minutes, remove the baking sheet from the oven. Arrange the bell peppers on top and then pour the sauce over them. Crumble the feta over the top and grate the Gouda cheese directly over the top. Return to the oven for another 20 minutes, until the cheese is nicely browned.
