Gyros

The perfect gyros recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 600 g Pork schnitzel
  • 2 tsp Oregano
  • 2 tsp Thyme
  • 3 tsp Sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 Onions
  • Salt
  • 150 ml Olive oil
  • 2 Splash Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Mustard hot
  • Pepper
  1. Wash the meat, pat dry and cut into wafer-thin strips.
  2. Peel the onions and cut into strips. Mix the garlic powder with the meat and the other ingredients and marinate in the refrigerator for about 1 – 2 days.
  3. Fry in portions in a very hot pan and keep warm. Serve hot.
