Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 250 g onion(s), diced
- 250 g minced meat
- 250 g bell pepper(s), diced
- 250 g freshly diced tomatoes or pizza tomatoes from the can
- 250 g rice
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch(s) of pepper
- ½ tbsp paprika powder
- some oil for frying
- broth
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Sauté diced onions in oil until translucent. Add the shredded ground beef and fry. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika (sweet or hot, depending on your taste). Add the diced bell peppers. Add a little salt to preserve their color and sauté. Add the tomatoes and let them cook for a while. Add the rice. Depending on how much cooking juices have accumulated, add a little more broth or tomato juice to allow the rice to swell properly. Reduce the heat to low. Season again if necessary once the rice is cooked, and enjoy hot. If in a hurry, use a 10-minute rice cooker, but regular rice works just as well. This recipe was passed down from my grandmother and, thanks to its simple ingredients, can be easily multiplied for a larger group.
