Ham and cheese puff pastry parcels

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry (10 pack)
  • 100 g ham, cooked
  • 150 g cheese (young Gouda)
  • ½ cup crème fraîche
  • Mixed herbs
  • pepper
  • 1 egg(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Preparation: Separate the egg (yolk for brushing, egg white for sticking), dice the ham and cheese (approx. 0.5 cm), defrost the puff pastry (approx. 15 min.) and remove the cling film. Mix the diced ham, cheese, crème fraîche and herbs. Spread some of the mixture on a square sheet of puff pastry (leaving a border of approx. 2 cm). Brush the edge with egg white, place the puff pastry sheet on top and press down firmly with a fork from the inside out. Do the same with the remaining puff pastry parcels. Preheat oven to 200°C. Place the puff pastry parcels on a baking sheet (due to their size, only four usually fit) and leave in for approx. 20 minutes. Serve with: a salad, vegetables with sauce, or simply as a snack. The puff pastry parcel in the first photo looks quite small, but it was a very large plate.
