Ham Toast with Herb Eggs

The perfect ham toast with herb eggs recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Discs White bread
  • 4 Free range eggs
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 6 tbsp Yogurt 3.7%
  • 2 tbsp Chopped parsley until smooth
  • 1 tbsp Chopped dill
  • Garlic powder
  • 4 Tomatoes
  • 2 Discs Cooked ham of approx. 125 g
  • 4 disc Gouda double cream level
  • 1 tsp Black pepper from the mill
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • Sweet paprika
  1. First, toast the white bread in the toaster.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with salt, yogurt, herbs and garlic.
  3. Cut the tomatoes into slices and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Brown 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan and heat the ham slices in it. Take out of the pan and keep warm.
  5. Melt 1 tbsp butter again in the same pan and pour in the eggs. Always stir well so that nothing cakes. When they have set and are still slightly shiny, take them out of the pan.
  6. Now place the bread slices in the pan and top with the ham, herb eggs, tomato slices and cheese slices.
  7. I made this toast in the closed pan this time. Then you can sprinkle the paprika on it immediately. The toast is ready when the cheese starts to melt.
  8. If you prefer to cook the toast in the oven, sprinkle the paprika powder over it at the end. Otherwise it will burn and taste bitter.
