Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 50 g onion(s), finely diced
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 80 g apple cider
  • 120 g cream
  • 120 g Harzer cheese, slightly diced
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • some caraway seeds, ground, if needed
  • 2 pork schnitzels, ready breaded
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

for Harz cheese fans

Sauté the diced onions in the butter. Deglaze with apple cider, add the cream, and stir in the cheese cubes until melted. Season with salt, pepper, and caraway seeds, if desired. Meanwhile, fry the schnitzels in hot oil. Place them on plates and add the sauce. I recommend crispy fried potatoes as a side dish.
