Harzer Minced Meat Stippe

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed, I like to use only pork
  • 2 large onions
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • e.g. water or broth
  • Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp, leveled margarine, or lard
  • Sauce thickener or cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

From my mother-in-law

Season the minced meat with pepper and salt. Peel and finely dice the onions. Heat the fat in a pan and cut the minced meat into small, nut-sized pieces and fry until crispy. Then add the diced onions and brown them. Add the tomato paste and fry briefly. Bring to a boil with a splash of vinegar and the water or stock and simmer gently for about 15 minutes. Season with pepper and salt and thicken with a little sauce thickener. If you like, you can also thicken with a little cream and cornstarch.
