Hazelnut cake from the tray

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g sugar
  • 350 ml buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 ½ packets of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups of cream (250 g each)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

In a bowl, combine the sugar, buttermilk, eggs, flour, baking powder, and salt into a smooth batter. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it. Spread the batter evenly on the baking sheet. Mix the hazelnuts (or chopped almonds), vanilla sugar, and sugar together and spread evenly over the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 150-160°C (300-320°F) for 30-40 minutes (total baking time). About 15 minutes before the end of the baking time, pour 2 cups of cream evenly over the cake.
