Hazelnut rolls

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry, frozen
  • 2 tbsp Nutella or other hazelnut spread
  • 1 handful of hazelnuts, ground
  • possibly sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Thaw the puff pastry and roll it out to your desired thickness. Spread the nougat cream on the puff pastry. If you like it even sweeter, you can add more sugar. Roll up from the long side and roll the roll in the ground hazelnuts. Cut into finger-width rolls; makes about 12 rolls. Bake at 175°C for 5-10 minutes. It’s become a quick treat for us when we have some leftover puff pastry or when we have unexpected visitors.
