Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
A gratin of potatoes – refined with bacon, onions and hollandaise sauce
Mix the cream, sour cream, and hollandaise sauce together in a saucepan over low heat (do not boil!). Season to taste with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Lightly grease or oil a baking dish. Layer the potato slices in the baking dish, overlapping them, and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with some bacon and onion cubes and drizzle with some of the sauce. Sprinkle with a little grated cheese, if desired. Repeat this process until the desired layer thickness is reached or until all the potatoes are used up. Then spread the remaining sauce over the potatoes. Sprinkle the cheese and breadcrumbs over the gratin. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 1 hour. Serve hot. Tip: If you want the cheese topping to be nice and crispy, you can also use the grill or fan-assisted oven for 15 minutes.
