Herring fillets Greek style

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt, 10% fat
  • 2 tbsp curd
  • 1 small cucumber(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 4 herring fillets, smoked
  • 4 green olives
  • 2 date tomatoes

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 15 minutes

Peel the cucumber, onion, and garlic. Coarsely grate the cucumber. Grate half an onion and the garlic clove. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Let the sauce sit overnight. The next day, slice the remaining onion half into rings, slice the olives, and quarter the tomatoes. Place the herring fillets on a plate, pour some of the sauce over them, and garnish with the onion and olive rings and tomatoes.
