Homemade chocolate kisses

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g dark chocolate coating
  • 50 g cocoa butter
  • 4 egg whites
  • 250 g sugar
  • 35 ml water
  • 24 waffles, round

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

for 24 pieces

Melt the chocolate coating and cocoa butter in a double boiler. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Bring the sugar and water to a boil and briefly stir into the beaten egg whites while still hot. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag and pipe onto the waffles. Chill for about half an hour, then dip into the still-hot chocolate glaze and chill again. I was surprised at how quick, easy, and delicious this was. I used organic spelt waffles, which worked perfectly.
