Homemade lemon tea

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter of boiling water
  • 2 tea bags (peppermint tea)
  • 1 lemon(s), untreated
  • Cane sugar, brown

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 5 minutes

cold as a refreshing iced tea or as a warming vitamin C bomb in winter

Cut the lemon into approximately 1 cm thick slices and place them in a large container with the tea bags. Pour boiling water over the lemon and let the tea steep for 10-15 minutes. Then remove the lemon slices and tea bags and season the tea with brown cane sugar (I recommend 6-7 slightly heaped teaspoons). The lemon tea is now ready. You can either drink it hot immediately or let it cool, then refrigerate it for a few hours and serve it as iced lemon tea over ice cubes.
