Sausage salad à la Fischköppin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 ring/s meat sausage, (Lyoner)
  • 200 g mountain cheese
  • 1 red bell pepper(s)
  • 4 gherkins
  • 4 tbsp mustard, sweet
  • 1 tsp mustard, medium hot
  • 100 ml cucumber juice
  • salt and pepper
  • oil

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Bavarian sausage salad with variations and without onions

Cut the pork sausage and mountain cheese into thin strips. Wash and trim the bell pepper, cut into small cubes, and briefly sauté in a little oil and water (makes it easier to digest), then drain. Thinly slice the gherkin. Place all ingredients in a bowl. Mix all the marinade ingredients thoroughly or mix in a shaker, then pour over the salad. Let it marinate well. Serve with farmhouse bread.
