Homemade processed cheese

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g cream
  • 100 g butter
  • 120g Gouda
  • 40 g Parmesan, fresh
  • 50 g Cheddar cheese
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • n. B. herbs, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Grate the cheese (this also works well in a blender). Bring the butter and cream to a boil. Then add the cheese and stir to prevent it from sticking. Once the cheese has melted, bring the mixture back to a boil. Then turn off the heat and fold in the crème fraîche. When the cheese has stopped boiling, add the herbs (if you prefer herb-based cheese instead of cream-based) and let it cool. The specified quantities yield approximately 550 g of cheese, which is ideal for sauces, for example.
