Homemade white cabbage salad, grandma's style

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg white cabbage
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup of yogurt (small cup, approx. 125 g), 3.5% fat
  • 5 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 m.-sized onion(s)
  • ½ tbsp salt
  • ½ tbsp pepper
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 40 minutes

White cabbage salad with creamy-spicy sauce

Finely shred or grate the cabbage and onions separately. For the dressing, combine the remaining ingredients and the onions. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and mix until all the vegetables are coated. Knead with your hands if necessary. The salad tastes best after letting it sit overnight in the refrigerator.
