Hot Chilli Lard

The perfect hot chilli lard recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Pc. Medium onion
  • 10 Pc. Chili peppers
  • 500 g Lard
  1. Cut the onion into small cubes.
  2. Core the chili and cut very finely
  3. Steam or dry the chili in a saucepan on medium heat (do not use fat or oil).
  4. Add the onion and sauté it until translucent.
  5. Add the lard and let it simmer for a little longer (3-5 min).
  6. Pour the chilli lard into prepared twist-off glasses * and close tightly. Please pay attention to clean glass edges!
  7. The heat of the lard depends on the chillies used. In this case I used a mix of different Habaneros, Rocotos and Bischops Crown. Attention: Wear gloves when processing chillies
  8. Makes 5-6 glasses of delicious chilli lard a 225 ml
  9. * Clean the twist-off glasses and sterilize in the oven (110 ° C).
