Hunters Schnitzel from Oven

The perfect hunters schnitzel from oven recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Pork loin
  • 500 g Mushrooms
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 tsp Dried thyme
  • 1 cups Cream
  • 0,5 cups Creme fraiche Cheese
  • 200 ml Broth
  • 1 tbsp Flour
  • 1 tbsp Sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper from the grinder
  • Nutmeg
  • Sugar
  • Olive oil
  1. Cut the pork loin into four equally sized slices and marinate with salt, pepper, thyme and a few drops of olive oil.
  2. Depending on the size, cut the mushrooms into slices or simply cut in half. Peel the onion and cut into rings.
  3. Heat some oil in a pan and briefly sear the pork and let it rest in the baking dish.
  4. In the same pan (so as not to waste the roasted aromas of the meat), braise the onion rings with a little salt, pepper, sugar and butter and then distribute them on the meat.
  5. Put some more butter in the pan and fry the mushrooms vigorously – as soon as they have lost their water, add flour, paprika powder and sugar and continue frying until everything is nicely browned.
  6. Season with salt and pepper and deglaze with cream – stir in the creme fraiche and season with nutmeg.
  7. Pour over the meat and bake in the oven at 180 ° C under / top heat for 20 minutes.
