Iced tea with a subtle hint of ginger

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 20 g ginger
  • 30 g sugar
  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • 6 fruit tea bags
  • 20 ice cubes

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

not only good for hot days

Peel the ginger and slice thinly. Bring the water, ginger, and sugar to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer uncovered for five minutes. Remove the pot from the heat, add the tea bag, and let it steep according to the package instructions. In my case, this was six minutes. Remove the ginger and tea bag and pour the tea into a carafe. Let it cool slightly if necessary. Add the ice cubes. The tea tastes great lukewarm, but also tastes great chilled.
