Indian chicken curry

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg chicken
  • 4 onions
  • 3 tomatoes, peeled, quartered
  • 250 ml milk
  • 250 ml water
  • 250 ml yogurt or kefir
  • 2 tbsp curry powder, Indian
  • 3 potatoes
  • 1 tsp flour
  • Salt
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Finely chop the onions and fry them with the tomatoes until crispy. Add the diced chicken and fry. Sprinkle with curry powder. Pour in water and milk, and add the diced potatoes. When the potatoes are tender, stir in the kefir (yogurt) mixed with the flour. Simmer until the sauce is thickened. Season with salt and serve. Serve with rice or Indian flatbread.
