Indian chicken ragout

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 chicken, cooked, boned
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 pinch of dried ginger or some slices of fresh
  • 4 chili peppers, fresh or dried, hot
  • 6 cardamom seeds
  • 6 cloves
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon, small
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 500 ml coconut milk
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the chicken into strips. Sauté the finely chopped onion, crushed garlic, and remaining spices in oil over low heat until the onion is translucent. Deglaze with the coconut milk and season lightly with salt. Remove the cloves and cinnamon stick. Add the chicken and bring to a boil in the sauce. Serve with brown rice.
