Jam: Strawberry and Raspberry Jam

The perfect jam: strawberry and raspberry jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 900 g Strawberries
  • 450 g Raspberries
  • 3 Knife tips Chilli salt
  • 150 ml Metaxa
  • 750 g Preserving sugar 2: 1
  1. Wash and clean the strawberries, cut the small ones in half, and quarter the large strawberries. Only sort the raspberries, do not wash them.
  2. Put the fruits in a high saucepan, add the sugar, the chilli salt and half of the metaxas and let the juice steep for a good hour.
  3. Bring the fruits to the boil and let them simmer for about 4 minutes. Then puree. If you don’t like seeds, you can put everything through a sieve and briefly boil the rest again, add the remaining Metaxa and stir in. Then pour everything into the prepared glasses.
  4. Place the jars on the lid for 5 minutes. Then turn it over again and let it cool down completely.
