Jam: Strawberry and Gooseberry Jam
The perfect jam: strawberry and gooseberry jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 900 g Strawberries
- 500 g Gooseberries
- 100 ml Elderberry syrup
- 1 Organic lemon
- 750 g Preserving sugar 2: 1
- Wash and clean the strawberries, cut into small pieces. Wash the gooseberries, remove the ends and cut in half.
- Put the fruits in a high saucepan, add the preserving sugar, elderberry syrup, the zest and the juice of the lemon and let everything steep for about an hour.
- Bring everything to the boil and simmer for at least 4 minutes, then puree. Pour into the prepared jars and place them on the lid for 5 minutes. Then turn over and let cool down completely.
