Jam: Strawberry and Gooseberry Jam

The perfect jam: strawberry and gooseberry jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 900 g Strawberries
  • 500 g Gooseberries
  • 100 ml Elderberry syrup
  • 1 Organic lemon
  • 750 g Preserving sugar 2: 1
  1. Wash and clean the strawberries, cut into small pieces. Wash the gooseberries, remove the ends and cut in half.
  2. Put the fruits in a high saucepan, add the preserving sugar, elderberry syrup, the zest and the juice of the lemon and let everything steep for about an hour.
  3. Bring everything to the boil and simmer for at least 4 minutes, then puree. Pour into the prepared jars and place them on the lid for 5 minutes. Then turn over and let cool down completely.
