Sourdough cake

On the day you get Hermann, you’ll need to feed him. Day 1: 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup sugar. Store him in a tall container, lightly covered, in the refrigerator, because he wants to soar high. Stir the dough every morning. On day 5, feed Hermann the same amounts as on day 1. On day 10, he’ll be baked. On baking day, you’ll need to make one cup of Hermann for yourself and one for a friend, and the recipe will be included. Put the rest in a bowl and mix in the following ingredients: 2 eggs, 2 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup raisins, 1 cup ground hazelnuts, 1/2 cup oil, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Gently mix everything until the ingredients are well blended. Pour the dough into a well-greased and floured loaf pan. Before baking, top with a mixture of a knob of melted butter, 1/2 cup sugar, and a tablespoon of cinnamon. Then bake Hermann at approximately 180°C for about 45 minutes, or a little longer if necessary. (Caution: the butter can burn easily; check frequently and cover if necessary.)
