Jerk pork chops

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 tsp allspice, ground
  • 1 tsp pepper, from the mill
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 2 tsp thyme, dried
  • 1 bunch spring onion(s), finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 chili pepper(s), fresh, very hot, pitted and finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 pork chops, lean, approx. 2.5 cm thick

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Blend all ingredients except the meat in a food processor until a paste forms. Spread the mixture on both sides of the chops and place them in the crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
