delicious combination of chocolate and apples with a moist, juicy consistency
Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift. Finely grate the apples using a grater. Then vigorously mix the flour, sugar, butter, eggs, cocoa powder, water and finely grated apples until you have a smooth mixture. Bake the batter in a well-greased loaf pan at 160°C for about 60 minutes. Do the skewer test to see if it’s done (very slight residue is okay, as this is a very moist cake). Let the cake cool and then remove it from the pan. Now heat the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, butter and milk in a double boiler until you have a smooth, spreadable mixture. If the mixture is too thick, simply add a little more milk. Spread this mixture over the cooled cake and let it cool.
