Kale with Bregenwurst

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg kale
  • 75 g smoked bacon
  • 1 tbsp lard
  • 500 g smoked pork
  • 500 g cabbage sausage (Bregenwurst)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Trim, wash, and drain the kale. Chop it very finely. Dice the bacon and fry it in the lard. Roughly dice the smoked pork, add it, and fry. Stir in the kale and cook, covered, over low heat for 30 minutes. Place the bratwurst on top. Cook in the oven over medium heat for another 30 minutes. Serve with potatoes.
