Killer Garlic Steak Marinade

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 ½ tbsp honey
  • 4 ½ tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 ½ tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 3 tsp mustard
  • 3 tsp tomato paste
  • 1 ½ tsp rosemary, chopped
  • 1 ½ tsp oregano, dried
  • ¾ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 ½ tsp paprika powder
  • ¾ tsp chili flakes
  • some oil, water or wine to dilute

Working time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 8 minutes

Combine all ingredients in a measuring cup and blend with a hand blender until a smooth marinade is formed. Alternatively, you can use a food processor. If necessary, dilute the marinade with water, oil, or wine (for a little more acidity). However, it shouldn’t be too runny so that it can be easily applied. Season the marinade to taste and adjust the seasonings. Apply evenly to seitan steaks, for example, using a pastry brush.
