Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 2 large carrots, grated
  • 6 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp allspice, crushed
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • Olive oil for frying
  • optional spice(s) of your choice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Meatballs with cumin and grated carrots

Prepare the meat dough by mixing all the ingredients until smooth and not crumbly. Add other spices to taste (e.g., coriander, turmeric, lamb seasoning, etc.). Form the mixture into croquette-sized or round meatballs and fry them in a pan with a little olive oil. Serve with baked potatoes, herb curd, baguette, or flatbread.
