Kohlrabi-zucchini-potato mash

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g kohlrabi
  • 300 g zucchini
  • 150 g potatoes
  • 100 ml water
  • n. B. Oil, e.g. rapeseed oil, approx. 1 tsp per 100 g porridge

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

from about the 8th month

Wash and peel the kohlrabi, zucchini, and potatoes, trimming any woody parts from the kohlrabi. Chop everything into small pieces and add it to a pot of water. Bring to a boil briefly, then simmer on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, until everything is quite soft. Since the zucchini loses a lot of water, I specified a small amount of water, which can of course be added later – it’s better to add it instead of throwing it away to preserve the vitamins. The recipe is actually designed for about 9 ice cube trays, but it should yield about 4 normal portions of about 125g. We really liked the recipe and it didn’t cause any bloating. However, since kohlrabi can cause bloating, I specified an age of 8 months. You can, of course, try it earlier. Freezing also works great; just make sure you add the oil only when heating. You can also try the recipe with sweet potatoes instead of potatoes.
