Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter, soft
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g flour
  • 50 g almond sticks
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 4 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Grease for the tray

These delicious, quick and easy cookies are perfect for beginners. Makes about 48 cookies.

Beat the butter and egg yolk until smooth. Add the sugar and beat until fluffy. Sift the flour over the dough and gradually mix in. Grease the baking tray. Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Press the dough very thinly onto the baking tray (by hand – it really is enough for the whole tray). Beat the egg and brush the dough with the egg. Sprinkle with the almond slivers and the sugar powder. Place the cake in the hot oven and bake on the middle rack for 10 minutes. While still hot, cut into 3 cm x 6 cm pieces. Do not pull the knife all the way through, as this will cause the almonds to splinter. Cut with gentle pressure only. Let the cookies cool.
