Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 16 lamb chops
- 1 onion(s)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 4 tbsp oil (olive oil)
- Salt
- pepper
- 8 Pepper, red or green
- 4 onions, red
- 1 lemon(s)
- 4 tomatoes
- oregano
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 10 minutes
Rinse the lamb chops and pat dry. Score the fat on the sides several times. Peel the onions and garlic. Finely chop one onion, crush the garlic, and mix with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Brush the meat with the mixture and let it marinate for about 3 hours. Preheat the grill. Rinse the peppers and pat dry. Grill the chops for about 8 minutes, turning once. Cook the peppers on the side of the grill. Peel the remaining onions and wash the lemon in hot water, then cut both into thin wedges. Slice the tomatoes. Arrange everything on the plates, place the lamb chops and peppers on top, and sprinkle with oregano. Serve with pita bread or baguette.
