Lamb's lettuce with bacon and nuts

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g lamb’s lettuce
  • 50 g bacon, streaky, smoked
  • 10 walnuts
  • 1 orange(s)
  • 100 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 tbsp oil (walnut oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Remove the root ends from the lamb’s lettuce, wash the lettuce, and drain. Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry in a pan without any additional fat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the fat. Deglaze the bacon fat with balsamic vinegar. Add the honey and simmer until a thick sauce forms. Peel the orange and cut into small pieces. Crumble the walnuts. Sprinkle the bacon cubes over the lamb’s lettuce. Pour the thickened, cooled dressing over the dressing. If there isn’t enough, add more walnut oil.
