Leek sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 stalk(s) leeks
  • 2 packs of brunch with or without herbs
  • 1 pack of Mettwurst (Mettenden)
  • some milk to dilute
  • some butter
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Trim the green and root ends from the leek stalks. Then halve the stalks lengthwise and cut into strips. Slice the mettenden and fry in a little butter. Add the leek and fry briefly. Add the brunch and let it melt, thinning with milk if necessary until the sauce reaches the desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste. We serve it with pasta.
