Quick and easy Bolognese sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g minced meat (turkey, beef or mixed)
  • 1 tbsp oil (sunflower oil)
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 100 ml water
  • ½ onion(s), diced
  • ½ jar tomato sauce (arrabiata)
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly herbs, Italian

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

sharp

Lightly fry the diced onions in a tablespoon of oil in a large pot. Add the minced meat in batches and fry until cooked through, adding more minced meat a little at a time until everything in the pot is browned. Season with salt and pepper. Add a little tomato paste to the pot and mix with the meat and onion. Then deglaze everything with water. Add the sauce from the jar and stir in. There shouldn’t be so much sauce that the minced meat swims in it, just provide a little liquid. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, then season with Italian herbs (or basil, oregano, etc.) to taste, if desired. This goes best with spaghetti or other pasta (allow about 120g per person – all these calculations are based on hearty eaters).
