Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 lemon(s), zest
  • e.g. milk or seltzer
  • 1 pack of powdered sugar, for the icing
  • Lemon juice, for the glaze

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

simple and quick sheet cake with few ingredients

Preheat oven to approximately 200°C. Combine melted butter and sugar. Add eggs, flour, baking powder, and grated lemon zest and mix well. Spread the batter on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the oven preheated to 200°C and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes. Combine powdered sugar and lemon juice until thick (not too runny, not too thick) and spread over the baked cake.
